FORGE Brings Home a Hermes
02-24-10On Saturday, February 22, FORGE was awarded a Gold Hermes for a print advertising piece completed for Spagnuolo’s Chocolatiers that promoted the company during Train Fest in the Summer of 2009 in Owosso. Well-known throughout the state of Michigan, Spagnuolo’s is a third-generation Italian chocolatier specializing in hand-made chocolates and homemade ice cream. FORGE received the award for two posters that made excellent use of white space and contained clever copywriting that tied in the train theme.
The Hermes Awards is the first of a three-tier, national competition called the Addy Awards. It is conducted annually by the American Advertising Federation and seeks to recognize creative excellence in advertising. The first tier starts off at a local level, the second tier is regional and has 14 districts, and the third tier is the national Addy Awards competition.
In addition to the gold Hermes, FORGE scored five silver and bronze awards:
